The role of research, educational and healthcare institutions in peacebuilding community in COVID-19 by the Hellenic Association of Political Scientists (HAPSc), the Laboratory of Health Economics and Management (LabHEM), the Health Policy Institute (HPI), the Public Policy and Administration Research Laboratory (LABDIPOL).
The Covid-19 pandemic has led to an unprecedented fast and tight international research cooperation, not only in the fight against the virus itself but also in policy-making, with healthcare and education being heavily threatened. This event aims to discuss this new era where scientists, as well as international organizations (such as the W.H.O.), are on the forefront of this battle against a common global enemy, and the ways this advanced international cooperation can strengthen international peacebuilding, both now and in the post-pandemic world.

What is Geneva Peace Week?
Geneva Peace Week (GPW) is a leading annual forum in the international peacebuilding calendar, and the flagship event of the Geneva Peacebuilding Platform. This year, the thematic focus of the week is “Rebuilding trust after disruption: Pathways to reset international cooperation”. Geneva Peace Week 2020 (GPW20) aims to galvanise leadership, build trust and contribute to transforming international cooperation in the wake of COVID-19. Geneva Peace Week 2020 will be held totally online from 2-6 November 2020. Institutions and individuals in Geneva and around the world have come together to organise an interactive GPW20 experience. POLITEIA is an International Conference of Political Scientists organized, for the first time in Athens, the capital of Greece, by the Hellenic Association of Political Scientists under the Auspices of H.E. President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Prokopios Pavlopoulos. Upon approval, the Politeia Conference is included in those actions using the emblem of the United Nations Academic Impact. Bringing together researchers from all the fields of social science, the conference aims to promote enriching and pluralist dialogue over various aspects of Regional, European and Global Politics.
